Most SEALs were issued either the DW5600 or DW6600, two of the four G-Shock models to have been awarded an NSN or Nato Stock Number, making the watches readily available through military supply channels. Today, the other two NSN G-Shock models are some of the watches most commonly issued to and used by SEALs. Rolex Submariner watches were the choice and standard issue for NAVY SEALs from their inception in 1962 up until 1983, when they switched over to Casio G-Shock watches.
