Can Fossil watch straps be replaced?

Based on your needs, you can either order a replacement band from our spare parts collection or shop for a new band directly on our website. We’ll start with where to buy replacement watch bands. Measure lug width: Use a caliper or ruler to measure between watch lugs. Common sizes: 18mm, 19mm, 20mm, 21mm, and 22mm. Determine wrist size: Wrap measuring tape around your wrist where you wear your watch. This helps choose between short, medium, or long strap options.The watch size for men are usually between 38mm and 46mm in size. Anything larger than 46mm quickly comes across as overly large. And anything smaller than 38mm is usually for women. Can you replace a leather watch strap?
Insert the spring bar into your new leather strap. Place one side of the bar into the lug hole. Compress the opposite end with your tool and guide it into place. Move the strap slightly until you hear or feel the spring bar click securely. To replace the strap, insert the end of the first spring bar into one of the lug holes, and use the forked end of the spring bar tool to gently push the spring-loaded end of the spring bar away from the lug hole while positioning the new band.
Do all leather watch bands fit all watches?
If the watch has a conventional lug arrangement which will hold a straight ended watch strap, you can attach almost all watch straps to that watch. However, some watches are designed so that you cannot fit a universal replacement watch strap to it. Are 20mm and 22mm straps interchangeable? No. A 22mm strap will not fit a 20mm watch and may damage the lugs.Bands for 38mm, 40mm, and 41mm watches are interchangeable. Bands for 42mm, 44mm, 45mm, and 49mm are also interchangeable—with each other only. Using the wrong band size can damage your watch or even cause it to fall off your wrist. Adapters exist, but they’re not always reliable or worth the risk.
